Is there a race (or two or three...) that you're really looking forward to attending this summer?
If so, please post the details (e.g. World of Outlaw Sprints at Ohsweken Speedway on July 22-23) and a short reason why you wouldn't miss being there for the world.
We're looking for reader feedback on which Canadian events (stocks, road racing, drags, motorcycles, etc.) have them excited about the upcoming season... so please post them here.

For me it's gonna be the VARAC event at Mosport in June, as well as the World of Outlaws Late Models at Ohsweken the night before, also in June.
NCATS at St. Eustache has to be the biggest race event of the season! lol
NCATS at Barrie, ALWAYS puts on a great show. Can't wait for all the demolition.
I wouldn't miss these 2 this summer, Oscaar's 10th Annual Don Biederman Memorial at Delaware Speedway Sat. Sept 6th. and their Mosport Speedway event Aug. 23rd with the ALMS on the road course.
Stock cars with real awesome horspower on 1/2 mile tracks.
Wanna see if the big-bore stuff can hold on the little guys at this year's War Bonnet 3-Hour.
After the usual must attend weekends of Peterborough Speedways Autumn Colours and Flammboro Speedways Oktoberfest, theres Sunset Speedway's Frosty Special, Varney has a Super Street Stock Invitational on June 29th, August 4th is the Big Block Modified 100 lapper at Merrittville, and on Sunday September 21st is the $10000 race for Thunders at Barrie, and any time OSCAAR is at Kawartha.
I'd say the APC 300 at Delaware Labor Day weekend and the WoO Sprint Car weekend at Oshweken are must-sees for this year...
Can't miss ALMS at Mosport, nor the World of Outlaws double header at Oshweken. Have to make the 100 lapper at Merritville too.3 must sees for me.
CASC-OR'S Mobil 1 - GT Sprints at Mosport GP Track could prove to be the show of the year. Featuring HUGE fields with up to 60 cars at a time ranging from Corvettess and Vipers (running 1:22 to 1:25 laptimes) to assorted GTD and G70 cars running in the low 1:50's.
First I would have to say the opening NCATS race at Cayuga, looking forward to seeing what new teams and sponsors show up to help the series out. Secondly the ACT event at Kawartha, hopefully better weather leads to a better fan turnout but still a great race to watch. Lastly the Autumn Colours at Peterborough Speedway just the shear amount of racing in all divisions makes for a great weekend.

& September 6.
Rocky Mountain Rally, Calgary in May, followed by Baie des Chaleurs, Quebec and the Vintage on the Prairies in August at Race City.

Peterborough Autumn Colours and Deleware APC300 are at the top of my list
For me I would have to say that the OSCA events held @ Toronto Motorsports park in Cayuga Ontario are deffinately carved in stone on my calendar of events not to miss! I have been attending and shooting at these events since 2001 and there is nowhere else in Canada to catch this kind of insane heads up drag racing action. These events have been host to some of Canadas Record breaking performances like John Carinci's 6 second pass on 10 inch tires the first ever in Super Street. It is, by far the wildest weekends of the summer for me! I camp out all weekend and it realy is an awsome bunch of people. For fans, walking around the pits, getting up close to see these cars, hanging out with the racers, it realy is an up close and personal experience. Many of these guys and girls have become friends over the years and it is what I look forward to all winter long!

Castaol Candian Late model shoot out at Southbuxton raceway thi even is only getting bigger every year with over 30 dirt late models comming from over canada and the usa 10000 Us doller pures last season and sure to be bigger this year they will also be holding a ump modifed invintaioal race the same night
I'd have to say the World of Outlaws Late Models at Cornwall Motor Speedway - Sunday, June 22nd.
Such an excellent facility! We're trying to arrange to have some of the drivers come to Kawartha Speedway Friday, June 20th to display their cars
For me, I wouldn't miss any race of the Oscaar Super Series especially Autumn Colours at Peterborough Speedway.

for me it`s going to be watching my 7 year old son run his first race at grand bend speedway in the micro sprint division may 3.then it will be the don biederman memorial race at delaware,I`m glad that the super stock class gets to run that night as well!
Targa Newfoundland is a must see/must do for any motor racing enthusiast. It is such an adventure, and a great group of people...not to mention some flat out racing on public roads!
Canadian Vintage Mods. There at Mosport on June 28th. and Delaware July 26th. These cars are fast and really put on a great show.
I have to say I really look forward to the Fathers Day Double header NCTS race at Mosport road course. It is a load of fun to camp for the weekend and has become a tradition in my family.
Close to home it would have to be the VARAC Festival with Can Am cars. Later in the summer, I'll be covering the ALMS race at Lime Rock for the first time which should be a blast!
I'm actually looking forward to see how the Canada Day 8-hour shakes out at Sutton kart club. Sure they're karts, but long races trump short ones every time.
Any OSCAAR Race, anytime the "Outlaws" are in your area.. it's a must see! The Competition, Professionalism, Excitement is second to none when it comes to OSCAAR

Brighton - Labour Day Classic. reasonable Ticket prices, Double Header weekend of sprint cars, bar-b-ques and camping. It reminds me of the Oswego Classic Weekends from back in the day.
The Riverside 250 is going to be the highlight of the summer in the Maritimes. Over 50 of the fastest Super Late Model Pro-Stocks in the North-East going for 30 starting spots in the highest paying race in the region should make for some great competition. Throw in a couple of Sprint Cup drivers and the best track in the country, and its a can't miss for any race fan.
