At last Saturday’s Driver Meeting, Bob St. Amand Jr. unveiled details of the Local 358 Modified Last Chance Qualifier.
“Last year as Colleen, myself and our family were handing out Bonus Money,” remembers St. Amand, “we noticed quite a few of the guys that are with us every week going home with nothing … since then we knew we had to come up with something and we’re so excited that Dan Kovacs and Motorcade Industries have teamed up with L. St. Amand Enterprises and our family to help us do this.”
In conjunction with Motorcade Industries and partners NGK Spark Plugs, Monroe Sensa-Trac Shocks & Struts, Wagner Brake Products and Dayco Belts & Hoses – the new event will be open to Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modified Drivers only with the top 4 added to the rear of the 26 car field.
“When we learned that the starting field had been changed to 26 cars for 2011,” added St. Amand, “that really put the gears in motion … from 5th on there will be a purse paid and to be eligible a driver must have at least 75% attendance this year on Saturday Nights.”
