TORONTO, ON - The ratings for the first five CASCAR Super Series races broadcast on SPEED have been released. James Robinson Associates Ltd., the producer of the Super Series television shows since 1994, is pleased to announce that shows have attracted an average audience of more than 260,000 viewers, for a five-race total of 1.3 million.
CASCAR is the only Canadian auto racing series to air on SPEED."We're very pleased to see the excellent response to our shows in terms of SPEED viewer numbers in the U.S. and Canada," said Jim Robinson.
"These shows appeared on Rogers Sportsnet during the Canadian racing season and the added exposure of appearing on SPEED on Saturday afternoons during the fall and winter means additional value added for the advertisers who support the shows. The high ratings for these broadcasts speaks to the excellent quality of the racing in Canada and, we believe, to the quality of the productions."
JRA would like to thank the racing fans and sponsors for their support of the CASCAR Super Series races on SPEED.

Agreed. I think more and more American's are getting into our racing up here, especially now that NASCAR has bought out our series. As a member of a few American boards, I'm being asked more and more about the CTS (formerly CASCAR)!
The CASCAR series is great and you must be tickled pink that the shows are going good. But as Nascar has now purchased the CASCAR series they had better hurry up and post a schelue pretty soon as a lot of the Series car and teams need to know so they can get sponsors. Remember no sponsors no show for a lot of these teams As their WEBSITE show under construction to be ready for late March might be to late . Again congrats on the production and keep up the good work
260,000 viewers, 200 Canucks and 259,800 die hard American race nuts that need a winter infusion of something making vroom vroom noises to feed their needs. American's in the states lower than New York, probably figured it was live. Those north of it know we're covered in snow 6 months of the year. Give me a break the know good racing. Editing does a good job to make it look like it actually a race going on. Lucas on the Edge's 1/2 hour show is probably getting twice that amount viewers.
Lucas on the Egde is a horrible show. You're comments are why its so hard for Canadian racers to succeed in getting sponsors etc. I like the Cascar races, because I don't get a chance to travel around to most of them.
