“We are all incredibly excited and looking forward to Thursday,” says Guy Budel, Director of Race Operations. “These guys are going to hit speeds in excess of 120 mph!”

Thursday, July 14th marks the return of the mud slinging, 800 horsepower, winged sprint cars to Victory Lane Speedway and the excitement starts on Tuesday at the press conference. On hand will be several local sprint car drivers and their sprint cars. This is just the start of what will grow into an annual event at the speedway.

“Sprint car fans in Winnipeg have been waiting for an event like this,” says Budel. “We’ve even got a local sprint car fan, Greg Cybulski, helping out with the purse. He is offering up $250 dollars of his own money if a 360 sprint car can beat the bigger 410 sprint cars. Greg is just one of the many die-hard race fans we have in Winnipeg.”
